The “Model European Union” is a simulation of a decision-making procedure of the European Union focusing on EU external relations. The simulation is co-sponsored by the University of Florence’s Department of Social and Political Science and James Madison University. The project enables a team of JMU students from the Master’s Program in EU Policy Studies and students from the Master’s Program in International Relations and European Studies to develop skills of policy analysis, negotiation, team-building and cross-cultural communication. The entire project is supervised by two high-ranking officials of EU institutions.
