Learning Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with the textual-analitical tools necessary to achieve an adequate level of autonomy in linguistic analysis in a contrastive perspective.

Type of Assessment
Attending students (85% compulsory attendance):
- group paper (40%)
- individual oral presentation (40%)
- class active participation (20%).
Non attending students:
Final written exam (1 h. 1/2, no dictionary) composed by:
- translation Italian-English of a text from one of the EU websites (50%)
- comment through linguistic analysis according to the parameters in Ditifeci-Kantzas 2010, 7 (50%)
Course program
During the course
the logical structure of the English Language will be approached (including a contrastive perspective with the Italian Language) through its linguistic elements to help students
- improve their linguistic skills and
- achieve a good level of autonomy in a critical reading of a political-international text.
