Course Content
Objective of the course is to apply macroeconomic theory to real world cases using macroeconometric models. Targets and instruments of economic policy. Approaches and classes of macroeconometric models. Solutions of static and dynamic models. Methods of analysis and forecasting.

Learning Objectives
Objective of the course is the study of macroeconometric models for simulations of economic policies and forecasting. Both theoretic foundations and empirical features are explained. Some applied examples of empirical models used by institutions for economic analysis and economic policy are analyzed. Microsimulation models and applications are also included in the program.
Prerequisites
Basic macroeconomics.
Teaching Methods
Lessons and seminars with invited speakers from research institutions (depending on the number of students).
Type of Assessment
Written exam after the first two modules. Students are required to answer open questions on the first part of the course program. For the third module either a student presentation in class or a final written exam is required.
